Recently, the actual activity of big data analysis and application of textile product development was held in Zhejiang Branch Center of China Textile Information Center. Experts from China Textile Information Center, National Textile Product Development Center, Wuxi Hengnuo Textile Technology Co., Ltd. combined lectures with on-site practice, from the perspective of big data application, information acquisition, industrial collaboration, etc., in-depth analysis of the challenges faced by fabric enterprises in the process of product development, and put forward targeted solutions. It provides a feasible method for enterprises to find a new path of product development.
Efficient tools enable innovative development
Li Binhong, director of the National Textile Product Development Center, hosted the event and shared the key points and know-how of product development assisted by big data. She pointed out that product design has eight elements: price, delivery, quality, fashion, style, function, ecology and culture. For the development of innovative, profitable, competitive and sales structured products, enterprises should coordinate various elements, analyze market demand in the early stage of development, do a good job in product planning, and design their own product system from the customer's product line.
"To build a product innovation system, we need to build a technology platform to drive product iteration with contextual interaction." Dong Chuanli, manager of product design and development Department of Wuxi Henuo Textile Technology Co., LTD., said in the "Analysis of innovative research and development of functional knitting products" that in product development, enterprises need to have sufficient understanding of macro trends, consumer behavior, consumer value proposition, industry environment, economic life circle and so on. Taking the popular models in the Japanese market as an example, she pointed out that the textile product development data analysis and decision-making platform can collect and analyze the proportion of fibers, prices and categories of popular fabrics in the market, and generate data reports for specific brands, providing data basis for the market expansion and promotion of popular products of fabric enterprises.
Li Xin, deputy director of the Fashion Intelligence Department of China Textile Information Center, also stressed the importance of data analysis in the "brand e-commerce data analysis practice". He shared important data such as the overall sales volume, key categories, and prices of the women's clothing industry in 2021-2024, and took the brand of Evely as an example to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the data-based clothing fabric development.
